Chargers Star QB Justin Herbert Receives Major Injury Update For Week 3

The Los Angeles Chargers look like they will enter their Week 3 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers having their star quarterback ready to go. Justin Herbert got banged up in Week 2 against the Carolina Panthers and has been dealing with an ankle injury.

Herbert has been limited in practice this week but we have an update on his status for Week 3. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport , the Chargers are expecting Herbert to play against Pittsburgh as the signal-caller tries to give it a go.

"He was limited in practice yesterday, dealing with an ankle injury. Had x-rays, had an MRI after the game. My understanding is that it was mostly clean so didn't seem to be a major injury but obviously something that has been limiting Herbert this week. He was, I would say, extremely limited yesterday, shown heavily taped, really moving very little. He is going to try to get out there it sounds like, it sounds like the Chargers expect him to get out there."
