Charlene K. (Kieborz) Schultz was born January 13, 1946, on the family farm outside of Litchfield, NE, to Albert and Beulah (Mason) Kieborz. She attended Litchfield Public Schools, graduating in 1964. This is where she met the love of her life, Marion Schultz, and they were united in marriage on August 21, 1965, at the Litchfield Christian Church in Litchfield, NE. The couple moved to Broken Bow, NE, for a short time after they were married where Charlene worked at Becton Dickinson. The couple returned to Litchfield, NE, and she worked briefly at the Ordnance Plant in Grand Island, NE, before returning to the family farm where Marion and Charlene farmed alongside her parents. After her parents passed away, she continued to farm with Marion for many years until her health declined.

The couple happily welcomed two daughters, Sonya Jean in 1971, and Samantha Kay in 1976. Family was always very important to Charlene. Sundays were her favorite day of the week as she would cook homemade meals for her kids and their growing families. She always made sure that no one ever went hungry.

Charlene loved being outdoors whether it was working in her garden, planting flowers or farming with Marion. She treasured the time she spent with her grandkids and was extremely proud of each of them. It was important to her to be present at every one of their activities and events and to celebrate life's milestones with them.

Charlene began her faith journey later in life and was baptized into the Catholic faith at St. Josaphat's Church in Loup City, NE, in 2011.

Charlene is survived by her husband of 59 years; daughters, Sonya Rasmussen and Samantha (Rick) Kusek of Loup City, NE; grandchildren: Morgan (Pierre) Bassich of St. Paul, NE; Brady (Alexa) Rasmussen of Rockville, NE; Kaylea (Tucker) Quinn of Loup City, NE; Shyann (Ty) Eilenstine of Ravenna, NE; Caden Kusek and fiancé, Josie Oxford, of Kearney, NE; and Jaxson Kusek of Loup City, NE; great grandchildren, Charlee Bassich, Bextyn Eilenstine and baby Quinn arriving in March; and sister Alberta (Robert) Siebke of Litchfield, NE.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Beulah Kieborz; in-laws, Henry and Leona Schultz; infant brother, Delbert Kieborz; and a son-in-law, Bruce Rasmussen.
