Charlotte Ann Voisin (nee Simon), born on November 21, 1942 in Wheatland Township, Michigan, passed away on October 4, 2024 in St. Johns, Michigan. Charlotte was a beacon of knowledge and faith throughout her life, deeply committed to her family and community. Charlotte pursued her passion for learning and service by earning a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University followed by a Master's Degree from Loyola University. Her professional life was marked by significant contributions to religious education and publishing. She worked as an editor at Liturgical Commission Publishing and held pivotal roles at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing and St Joseph Parish in St. Johns as Director of Religious Education. She was a Commissioned Ecclesial Lay Minister in the Diocese of Lansing and a member of the Professional Pastoral Ministers Association. Charlotte was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns, Michigan where she also shared her musical talents as a piano, guitar, and organ player, and as a cantor. Her hobbies included quilting and sewing, activities that reflected her meticulous and creative spirit. Charlotte was a loving mother to Mark, James, Glenn & Terrilynn (Fleming) Voisin, Kathleen (Voisin) & Scott Dimond, and Julie (Voisin) & Lance Greenlee. She was a cherished grandmother to Cassandra (Brooks) & Adam Hill, Jacquelynn (Voisin) & Daniel Biggs, Bridget Voisin, Catherine (Voisin) & Michael Chasen, Meadow, Talon, & Tristan Greenlee, Nicholas and Reid Dimond. Her great grandchildren, Travis and Skyler Burton; Corrina Hill; Helen, Felicity, and Xavier Chasen will also hold her memory dear. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Paul Voisin, her brother, Doyle Simon, sister-in-law, Armilla Simon, brother-in-law, Michael Golden, and relatives, Jack & Ruth Voisin, Glenn & Norma Voisin, Nora Mae Voisin, and Mary Lou & Gilbert Elias. Charlotte will be remembered as a brilliant and nurturing figure, an avid reader and writer who confidently tackled crossword puzzles in ink, and a woman who life was a testament to the power of faith and the joy of lifelong learning. Her legacy of love, wisdom, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Parkway, St. Johns, on Wednesday, October 9, from 5-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Linden St., St. Johns, on Thursday, October 10, at 11AM with visitation beginning at 10AM at the church. Fr. Michael Williams will preside. Following Mass a luncheon will be held at Columbian Hall. A Graveside Service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant on Thursday at 2:30PM.
