Chiefs-Raiders Inactives: Both Richie James and Maxx Crosby will play

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders . As expected, running back Jerick McKinnon (groin) — along with wide receivers Mecole Hardman (thumb) and Kadarius Toney (ankle/hip) — will not play. But wide receiver Richie James will be active for the first time since Week 2.

Here are the Chiefs’ inactives for today’s game against the Raiders:

— Matt McMullen November 26, 2023 McKinnon and Hardman were declared in Friday’s final injury report . Then on Saturday — after the wideout had put in three full practices with an ankle injury — the team changed Toney’s injury description to “ankle/hip,” listing him as for Sunday’s game. At the same time, Hardman was placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured (injured reserve) list, so he is not shown on the inactive list for the Raiders game.

James spent six weeks on Reserve/Injured list with an MCL injury to his knee. After being designated to return, he spent two weeks as a full participant in practice before he was activated to the roster a week ago Saturday — but was then declared inactive for the “Monday Night Football” game against the Philadelphia Eagles .

Kansas City has also elevated practice squad running back La’Mical Perine and wide receiver Montrell Washington to the active roster. As elevated players, they will automatically be returned to the team’s practice squad after the game. Both are active for the contest.

The Raiders have also released their list of inactives . Star defensive end Maxx Crosby (knee) will play against the Chiefs. So will tackle Kolton Miller (shoulder), linebacker Robert Spillane (ankle) and safety Marcus Epps (neck). But safety Roderic Teamer (hamstring) will sit this one out.

Crosby was declared for the matchup in Friday’s final report after being held out in all three of this week’s practices. Before Sunday, 67 players had been designated as doubtful . Not a single one of them suited up for the game. Crosby is the first of the year.

After being shown as all week, Miller, Spillane and Epps were all declared for the game.

Teamer — who was a full participant all week as a player designated to return from the Raiders’ Reserve/Injured list — was also listed as . On Saturday, he was activated to the roster. It’s likely that he would have been active on Sunday — but according to a report , he was arrested for a DUI on Saturday night — so he will not dress for the contest.

Las Vegas has also elevated center Hroniss Grasu and defensive end Janarius Robinson from the practice squad for the matchup. Grasu has been declared inactive, but Robinson will play on Sunday.
