Child calls 911 after parents kill each other during fight in Wash. home on Halloween

A married couple got into a fight and killed each other on Halloween night in a Longview home, the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

Investigators said the couple's 11-year-old child was in another room playing video games wearing earbuds and didn't see what happened, but the child did call 911 upon discovering their parents were wounded.

Deputies went to the home on Olympia Way . They died at the scene.

The sheriff's office said 38-year-old Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz died from multiple stab wounds to the chest. Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39, died from gunshot and stab wounds.

Investigators found a pistol and a knife at the scene. They said the pistol had been stolen from Alvarado Saenz's employer.

Investigators said they were unable to determine who started the fight.

After conducting interviews, investigators said they learned the couple's relationship was strained and they were planning to separate.
