Campbell AME Church of Media: founded in 1827 and still active as the oldest church in the county with an active congregation welcomes a new pastor. The Rev. Alexis Washington, 30, who is young and full of energy, was once the pastor's daughter, the late Rev. Lanxton Washington. She returns to carry the congregation to their bicentennial in 2027 and is excited to return as her father carried the same congregation to 180 years, the church said.
