Andrae Gonzales, incumbent, declared his victory for Ward 2 on Tuesday night.

It's a real honor and a privilege," Gonzales said, "[Ward 2] requires a lot of leadership, a lot of advocacy, and someone who's strong and determined to continue to push forward so that we can see the city of Bakersfield actually make investment that's meaningful, that's significant for our urban core so that we can realize continued revitalization"
