Cleveland police make arrests in Columbus in connection to September street takeovers

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - At least four more people have been arrested in connection to the September 28 and 29 street takeovers, Cleveland police announced Thursday. The Cleveland Police Street Takeover Task Force conducted a coordinated arrest and search warrant operation in multiple parts of Columbus. Police say the efforts resulted in several arrests, including four suspects. Police say 22-year-old Sayvion Lewis, 22-year-old Cameron Parsley, 25-year-old William Whitted and 28-year-old Deshawn Crane were all arrested in connection to participation in the September 28 and 29 street takeovers in Cleveland. Lewis was arrested for aggravated riot, tampering with evidence, disruption of public service, possession of criminal tools and failure to comply, according to police. Police confirmed Parsley was arrested for aggravated riot, tampering with evidence, disruption of public service, possession of criminal tools and failure to comply. Whitted, police say, was arrested for aggravated riot, disruption of public service and possession of criminal tools. Crane was arrested for aggravated riot, disruption of public service, possession of criminal tools and tampering with evidence, police say. In addition, police report four vehicles and a firearm were seized as part of the operation.
