Colorado Springs firefighters battle commercial fire near Memorial Park

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - An investigation is now underway after Springs firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in a commercial building overnight.

Crews were called out to 305 S. Union Blvd. a little before 1 a.m. Thursday. The building is located across the street from the Veterans Memorial at Memorial Park. Firefighters made quick work of the flames after getting on scene but called a second alarm due to the size of the structure. The Colorado Springs Fire Department said crews had to search the building to ensure the fire was fully out.
