Commanders dealt blow as new star player set to miss Steelers game with injury
A.Hernandez29 min ago
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn says that star cornerback Marshon Lattimore , who was just acquired by the Commanders from the New Orleans Saints, will not play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was battling a hamstring injury and had not practiced all weeks. Without Lattimore, the starting cornerbacks for the Commanders will likely be Benjamin St-Juste, Michael Davis, and Mike Sainristil. Those three have played many of the snaps for the Commanders this year, and they will likely see the Steelers' new wide receiver corps with Mike Williams added to that unit. Lattimore should help boost the Commanders' cornerback room down the stretch as they try to hold off the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East. For Pittsburgh, this is good news for George Pickens, who since Russell Wilson has taken over, has become the bonafide WR1 in usage, snaps, and route usage.
