Community celebrates 150th year of Eaton Rapids Fire Department

EATON RAPIDS, Mich. (WILX) - The Eaton Rapids Fire Department celebrated its 150th year of service with the community on Saturday. The celebration consisted of several fun activities such as a 5K run, a fire truck parade and a cornhole tournament. "History Heritage your roots where it comes from why we're really doing this, you know the fire department," said Robin Freer, a fighterfighter for Eaton Rapids Fire Department. "The fire department started from a whole bunch of fires that started in Eaton Rapids. About ten guys started the fire department, and here we are today with, you know, all of us, and It's heartfelt."
