Community unites for first 'Christmas in the Barrio' toy drive and car show

The holidays are nearing and groups around the community are coming together to make sure kids have a gift to open on Christmas Day.

The first-ever- Christmas in the Barrio event will be taking place in a couple of weeks.

It's a toy drive being put together by OG Sosa Entertainment.

The organizer, Frank Estrada said it's a great way to give back to the community.

"We gather toys, we'll donate them to the Children's, uh, hospital, to different organizations throughout the city of El Paso," said Estrada.

There will also be a car show, raffles and giveaways.

All the proceeds will benefit the Lincoln Park Association.

The event will be held Nov. 17 at Lincoln Park from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
