Concerts in the Twin Cities this week: Tommy Stinson, Say Anything, 12 Rods

M.Green34 min ago
The week in music around the Twin Cities is highlighted by a lot of exciting local sounds, featuring ex-pats, bands that were long on hiatus, and one artist who is stepping away from the stage for a bit.

It was also a big week for concert announcements for the spring and summer with shows from Jack White , Linkin Park, and the Goo Goo Dolls (with Dashboard Confessional) all announced.

Here are some of the must-see shows on Twin Cities stages this week.

King Pari: There It Goes album release show Monday, Nov. 18 at Green Room

The Minnesota ex-pats return to the state to celebrate the release of their full-length debut album, There It Goes. It's a fun electro-funk album with hints of tropical indie rock and synth-pop grooves. It can all be heard on songs like "Wait A Minute," which responds to the anxiety and tension of felt in the aftermath of George Floyd's murder.

The group, featuring Cameron Kinghorn (ex-Black Market Brass) and Joe Paris Christensen (PHO), will undoubtedly host a rowdy, enthusiastic event at the Green Room. Lady Midnight opens.

They'll be joined by The Social Animals and Angel Du$t.
