The first Marquette Mountain Cheese Roll is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.

Marquette Mountain teamed up with The Cheese Cave at Everyday Wines Marquette for the event.

All racers will start together. As soon as the cheese is rolled, the race is on. Racers with dash downhill, navigating tricky terrain - grass, weeds, mud, sand, gravel, and rock - and competing to reach the finish line first.

In addition to cheese chasing, the event will include food, drinks, live music and fall color lift rides. Spectators can enter for free. Lift tickets are $16.50 and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Music by Bradley Brownell is scheduled for 2-5 p.m.
