NASCAR South Point 400: Betting lines for the entire field to win at Las Vegas

S.Ramirez41 min ago

Cup Series will begin the Round of 8 in Sin City, as Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be the site of the South Point 400 this weekend.

Earlier this season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson was victorious, and it's nothing new for the No. 5 wheelman in Nevada, as he also won last season's trip to Sin City during the playoffs. He's the prohibitive favorite to get to Victory Lane, but Christopher Bell Tyler Reddick have come close in each of the past two races in Las Vegas, so perhaps they'll have something for Larson this weekend.

With that in mind, FanDuel Sportsbook tried to make sense of the competition, providing betting lines for the entire field to win the South Point 400. Check them out below, as the Cup Series will begin the Round of 8 on Sunday evening.

Kyle Larson (+370)

Kyle Larson proved once again why he's the driver to beat in the NASCAR Cup Series this past weekend. He was dominant throughout the afternoon during the Bank of American Roval 400, notching his sixth win of 2024.

Looking ahead to this weekend's race, Las Vegas has been one of Larson's best tracks in the Cup Series. He's won the past two races in Sin City, and a third victory in a row would lock him in the Championship 4, where many believe he belongs.

William Byron (+850)

William Byron continued his string of consistent finishes with another promising afternoon in Charlotte. The No. 24 wheelman came home P3 in North Carolina, showing some serious speed throughout the day and setting himself up nicely for the Round of 8.

The Hendrick Motorsports star has been fantastic at Las Vegas throughout his career, winning during the spring trip to the track in 2023. Another top ten finish would do wonders for Byron's chances at advancing to the Championship 4 for a second consecutive season.

Tyler Reddick (+950)

Tyler Reddick was closer to the cut-line than many expected in the Round of 12, but the regular season champion was able to survive and advance at the Roval this past weekend. He brought the No. 45 Toyota home with a P11 finish, and that was enough to give himself a chance at making the Championship 4 over the next three weeks.

While Reddick has never won at Las Vegas, he's performed well during his nine starts at the track. He was actually the runner-up to Larson during this past spring's race in Sin City.

Denny Hamlin (+1100)

Denny Hamlin entered the Roval with a tremendous chance at advancing to the Round of 8, and he took care of business in Charlotte. A P14 finish was all he needed, as the Joe Gibbs Racing wheelman's chase for his first Cup Series title will continue to the Round of 8.

Moving forward to Las Vegas, this will be Hamlin's 26th trip to Sin City in the Cup Series. He's done well, but Hamlin has only won once at the track, back in Sept. 2022.

Christopher Bell (+1100)

Christopher Bell felt like the only wheelman who had anything for Kyle Larson in Charlotte. He was able to keep up with the No. 5 this past weekend, but he wasn't able to get the better of him, settling for a runner-up finish at the Roval.

With Las Vegas on the docket, Bell has amassed some uneven performances at the track over the course of his Cup Series tenure. He finished P33 earlier this spring, but came close to victory last fall, as the runner-up to Larson. He'll be looking to break through with a win at the track on Sunday.

Ryan Blaney (+1400)

Ryan Blaney survived a wreck at Talladega to advance to the Round of 8 in Charlotte. The reigning Cup Series champion finishes P10 at the Roval, gaining some momentum ahead of Las Vegas, as he looks to win back-to-back championships in 2024.

This weekend will mark Blaney's 17th attempt at winning in Las Vegas. He came close in the past, including during the spring iteration of the race in 2024, as he came home P3. He'll be looking to do two positions better this time around.

Joey Logano (+1500)

When the checkered flag waved on Sunday afternoon, it seemed like Joey Logano's chase for his third Cup Series title was over. However, his P8 finish helped him advance to the Round of 8 after Alex Bowman was disqualified, and the Team Penske wheelman was given new life.

With a second chance to get to the Championship 4, Las Vegas is as good of a track as any for Logano to get the job done. He won the pole at this past spring's race before finishing P9, and he's been to Victory Lane in Sin City three times in 22 attempts. He's a driver to keep an eye on this weekend.

Chase Elliott (+1600)

Chase Elliott helped Hendrick Motorsports advance a third car to the Round of 8 in Charlotte, by virtue of his P5 finish. The No. 9 wheelman has had tremendous success at the Roval in the past, and it was another smooth performance for the sport's most popular driver in North Carolina.

Throughout his Cup Series career, Elliott has yielded uneven results at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. However, he does have a P2 finish at the track, which came back in the fall of 2021. That's what he'll be hoping to accomplish this weekend, as he looks to head to Victory Lane for the first time in Sin City.

The eight playoff drivers clearly stand above the rest at the moment, and they'll have their chance to lock themselves into the Championship 4 this weekend, with the Phoenix finale on their minds, as well.
