( PINPOINT WEATHER ) — Good evening and happy Sunday Funday! As we head into a new week, we are still dealing with scattered thunderstorms this evening as a cold front moves through the region. Behind it, we are expecting cooler and more comfortable conditions as we start a new week. But quickly temperatures will start to rebound back into the mid-90s by the 4th with even hotter temperatures expected for the weekend with highs up near the 100-degree mark. Out in the tropics, Hurricane Beryl is now a dangerous Category 4 major hurricane with major impacts expected for the island of Grenada on Monday.

As for tonight and Monday, the showers and storms we are with this evening will clear out overnight and sunshine will return on Monday, but with comfortable conditions. Highs during the afternoon will be in the upper 80s along with lower humidity making for a very pleasant start to the week.

More of the same is expected Tuesday with low humidity and highs in the upper 80s, but Wednesday temperatures will be on the rise back into the low 90s and mid-90s for the 4th of July. Even hotter weather is expected as we head towards the end of the week with highs moving towards the 100-degree mark and 'feels-like' temperatures even hotter. Scattered showers and storms are possible on Friday and Saturday as our next front moves towards the region.

In the meantime, get ready for a wonderful start to July tomorrow! Have a great week!
