Corey Feldman Reveals He Only Has $34,000, Owes Massive Debt to IRS
Corey Feldman fired back at his estranged wife, Courtney Feldman 's, plea for $5,000 a month in support and claimed he doesn't make anywhere near the $280,000 a month she told the court he does, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Corey, 53, accused his ex of making false and irrelevant attacks on him "which can only be characterized as legal extortion."
Corey said he has been paying Courtney $2,000 a month in support. He asked the court to enter an order around that amount, as opposed to the $5,000 requested by Courtney.
He said they did not live a luxurious life while married. He said they rented a home in Woodland Hills, California, with three roommates. He said his portion of the rent was $4,000.
"We lived a modest middle-class lifestyle," Corey wrote.
He said he paid $5,000 for Courtney to be certified as a healthcare coach but "rather than trying to find employment in this field [she] is employed as a barista."
Corey said the income Courtney claimed he pulls is "in no way" accurate. He said he earned $78,946 in 2023 not the massive amount Courtney claimed.
He admitted he makes around $35,000 per fan convention but said he only does three to six times a year. Corey said he doesn't even see the full amount after paying his team members and travel costs.
He said Courtney overinflated his income from the website Cameo where he makes custom videos for fans.
Corey said he has made $179,852 from the app over eight years. Corey also addressed the $700,000 that Courtney said he was paid for a documentary.
The actor said that was used to produce and market the movie but the movie was a gross loan and is not being distributed. He said he presently has $34,000 in his bank account with no savings.
"I do not receive any residuals which add anything significant to my income or savings." Corey said Courtney is living in Canada where her "medical expenses are covered by Canada's national insurance."
In his financial declaration, Corey said he pulls in around $2,536 from self-employment every month.
He said he has no stocks or bonds and only listed the $34,000 under his real property. Corey said his monthly expenses total $16,799.
He also owes $42,000 to Capital One and another $192,000 to the IRS. A hearing on Courtney's plea is set for later this month.
As previously reported, Corey filed for legal separation in September 2023.
He cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. He listed the date of separation as June 22, 2023.
Corey asked the court to terminate Courtney's right to collect spousal support. In response, Courtney asked that she be awarded spousal support.
She claimed she racked up thousands in medical bills due to her experiencing various medical issues including hives, having COVID several times and "regular female problems."
Courtney told the court she is working as a baker for a coffee shop and makes around $1,982 a month. She said Corey pays her around $2,000 in support but she needs more.
"I am unable to earn anything close to the martial standard of living," Courtney said. Her lawyer said Courtney "supported [Corey] emotionally and in his work since 2011. [Courtney] has been abandoned by [Corey], and aside from under-guideline support, has no home, no job, vehicle or money for medical expenses."
As In Touch first reported, Courtney claimed Corey broke things off with her after she decided to quit their "lifestyle." "My decision to quit drugs and 'our lifestyle' was the reason our marriage ended," she said.
Courtney told the court, "In May 2023, I informed Corey I would not be 'partying' anymore and further, because of my deteriorating health and increased stress, I would not be going on tour. Once I said no to the drugs our relationship unraveled quickly."
