Corning volleyball wins Section IV Class AAA title over Elmira

TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. (WETM) – Corning volleyball has earned the Section IV Class AAA title.

Corning volleyball bested Elmira for the Section IV Class AAA Championship 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-13), on Sunday. The Hawks rolled past a resilient Express team, who earned a shot to try for back-to-back titles with a Wednesday night upset over Ithaca.

After avenging last year's title game loss to Elmira, the Hawks will now advance to the NYSPHSAA Sub-Regional round. This coming Wednesday, November 13th, Corning will return to Tioga High School to battle Section I's John Jay East Fishkill at 4:30 p.m.
