Bernadette L. Rushmer, Shavertown, has been named director of the Insalaco Center for Career Development. Rushmer will coordinate the center’s strategic goals, budgetary planning, implementation and all aspects of the center, including the Guaranteed Placement Program. She will serve as the contact for administrative officers concerning occupational/industry trends and projects. Rushmer has been employed at the college since 2004. She was the interim director of the center after serving as its corporate relations coordinator and assistant director.

William J. Lavage, President/CEO of Service 1st Federal Credit Union, Danville, has been elected to the PCUA District 7 seat on the Board of Directors. Lavage will represent credit unions across 16 counties in the northeastern tier of Pennsylvania. Lavage has been a credit union professional for more than 25 years. He received his Certified Credit Union Executive designation with honors and was recognized with the Association’s William W. Pratt Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Credit Union Professional of the Year.

Samantha Albert, E.I.T. has been hired as a project manager in the civil division. Albert, of Pittston, is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a M.S. in Environmental Engineering, and Bucknell University with a B.A. in Chemistry. She has 10 years experience as a project engineer in water, wastewater and site development-type civil/environmental projects.

Jonathan R. Loiselle, RA, NCARB, has been hired as a senior architect. Loiselle, of Taylor, is a graduate of Drexel University with a bachelor of architecture degree. He has 18 years experience as an architectural project manager.
HONORS & AWARDS

Omega Bank was recognized as a Silver Partnership Award winner for its commitment and loyalty to the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency at an awards ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel in Harrisburg. Omega was honored for its involvement in the program since 1982.

Kevin Palmiter, CLTC, Managing Director of the Palmiter Financial of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, has qualified for membership in the Million Dollar Roundtable, an international, independent association of nearly 19,000 leading life insurance producers. Palmiter has been associated with Northwestern Mutual since 1990. He has also earned the National Sales Achievement Award and the National Quality Award.
