Kelsey Beyer joined the chamber in April 2005 as program and events
coordinator. Beyer was previously employed as the Assistant Vice President
with Century Bank in Sarasota, Fla., and most recently as a Marketing
Specialist for South Trust Bank in the Tampa Bay area.
Brittany Bartolini has been appointed as economic development specialist,
responsible for business retention and expansion program surveys for existing
businesses and working with prospective clients interested in starting a small
business in the area.
M&T BANK
Catherine E. Ferraro, branch manager of M&T Bank’s Old Forge office, has
been promoted to vice-president. Ferraro has more than 10 years of experience
in the local financial services industry, including managing M&T’s Old Forge
branch since 1999. She was promoted from the position of assistant vice
president after earning numerous sales and service achievements within the
bank.
Richard Simmers has joined Fidelity Bank as residential mortgage loan
manager. He will head up the bank’s residential mortgage loan department,
overseeing all residential mortgage lending activities. Simmers comes to the
bank with more than 20 years of banking experience in retail credit and
mortgage banking.
The following six Fidelity Bank employees have been promoted to officer
status:
Yvonne DelRosso oversees the bank’s information technology systems as
senior network advisor.
A seven-year employee, she is responsible for supervising, developing,
implementing and maintaining the bank’s information technology systems.
Sharon VanLeuven is Data Processing Supervisor and has been with the bank
for four years.
Her responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of the bank’s
computer room and courier services.
Robert Sarniak, who joined Fidelity Bank in 2003 as collections manager,
bringing with him more than 15 years of experience in collections.
Trust Operations Manager Virginia Kielar, who has worked for Fidelity Bank
for more than eight years supervising and managing various capacities of
operations, accounting and administration of the bank’s trust department.
Frank Cimino is assistant manager of Fidelity’s Kingston branch office. He
has been with Fidelity for seven years.
Roseanne Colarusso, who joined the bank in 1999 and is assistant manager of
the Abington branch.
HONORS AND AWARDS
Attorney Debra Bolus Grosek, of Wilkes-Barre, has been certified as a
member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
The Million Dollar Advocates is recognized as the most prestigious group of
trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who
have won million and multimillion dollar verdicts, awards and settlements.
Grosek specializes in representing plaintiffs in personal injury,
automobile accidents, slip and fall cases, medical malpractice and
tractor/truck cab crush product liability cases.
Harry Reich, MD, gynecology and infertility specialist for Wyoming Valley
Health Care System, was recently elected president of the International
Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ISGE) in London.
The society was formed to provide a forum for professionals to meet at
regular intervals to share their knowledge and expertise in gynecologic
endoscopy. The term of office is four years and candidates must be nominated
by four active ISGE members.
As president of the society, Reich recently attended the 9th regional
meeting of the ISGE in Mumbai, India, where he gave a keynote lecture on and
demonstrated a laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming.
