Crews respond to house fire in North Central Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Fire Department crews responded to a house fire in North Central Omaha Saturday.

OFD crews were dispatched to a fire in a home near 86th and Browne Street in Omaha, where signs of a fire were seen coming from the basement.

According to a statement, the crews were able to quickly knock down the flames and bring the fire under control within 20 minutes.

The house was occupied at the time of the fire, and all occupants were able to evacuate the house before the crews arrived. According to the statement, no injuries were reported.

An investigation found that the cause of the fire, according to the statement, was "Youth Fire Play".

The statement estimates the damage to the house to be $65,000.
