CT man facing charges for allegedly having ‘inappropriate sexual conversations’ with teen
A Norwalk man was arrested Wednesday and accused of having inappropriate sexual conversations with a young teenager.
Keon Salmond, 32, faces charges of risk of injury to a minor and harmful communication with a minor, according to Sgt. Ryan Evarts of the Norwalk Police Department .
The charges stem from an investigation initiated on May 7 when police received a complaint involving a 14-year-old. Evarts said the alleged victim was engaged in "inappropriate sexual conversations" with Salmond, who was known to the teen.
According to Evarts, detectives with the police department's Special Victims Unit investigated and obtained a warrant for Salmond's arrest. He was taken into custody at his home.
Following the arrest, Salmond posted a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear before a judge on Oct. 30.
