(WIVT/WBGH) – The Chenango Valley Warriors are honoring the strength and courage of AJ Presto during their homecoming football game on Friday.

Presto, a 17-year-old senior at Chenango Valley High School, was in a serious swimming accident and suffered a severe spinal cord injury in June which left him paralyzed. After months of rehabilitation, he finally returned home on Wednesday.

To honor his journey and return home, CV is hosting Blackout for #PrestoStrong during Friday's game against the Owego River Hawks. Students will wear all black and or #PrestoStrong gear to show their support.

Sarah Presto, AJ's mother, said in a Facebook post that they will potentially be making an appearance at the game.

The game will kick off at 7 p.m. with Homecoming Court introductions and crowning taking place at halftime.
