It is that time of the year when women's volleyball comes in at full plate in Nebraska. A few days ago, Nebraska volleyball marked its full sweep in the Pacific Northwest in the Big Ten volleyball season. On the other hand, in the state itself, Norris volleyball registered a historic feat. The fans called it the overthrow of a monarchy, as the Omaha Skutts had reigned over the Class B title for nine years at a stretch. But on November 10, Norris came forward and uprooted Skutts. And folks, there are multiple storylines behind this victory.

On Sunday, Norris Volleyball took an epic five-set thriller to defeat the juggernaut of the Omaha Skutts. The job was challenging, as the SkyHawks didn't give any loose moments to the Titans to breathe easily in the game. Rather, the packed Devaney Center witnessed the SkyHawks putting its feet into the game after facing a loss in the opening set. Yet, the Ann Jelinek-led team kept the momentum from passing to the opponent. They returned with all their might in the fourth set and hammered the death bell in the fifth set. Finally, the scoreline was shaped as 25-23, 21-25, 17-25, 25-18, 15-8.

With this magical figure, Norris Volleyball claimed the Class B title in 2014. A superb achievement after going through so many litmus tests! But wait, there was someone who was constantly rooting for the Norris squad. Interestingly, she plays for the Nebraska Huskers. Guess who she is?

Well, on November 12, Nick Whyman, the sports reporter of The Voice News shared a clip on X. The clip shows Maisie Boesiger enjoying and cheering the Norris volleyball in the Sunday final while traveling by bus. Was there any special reason behind cheering for the Class B team in the final? Actually, there are multiple reasons. First is Maisie's sister Malorie Boesiger, who guards the setter position for the SkyHawks. And she was there in the final on Sunday. Now, hold on a bit more! The family connection isn't over yet.
