Deion Sanders’ Delusion Exposed By Critic Despite Approving Shedeur Sanders’ Dolphins Move

Coach Prime is never out of the headlines. Even when the Buffs are enjoying a well-deserved bye-week, Deion Sanders has managed to garner attention from his critics. This time, it concerns his quarterback and son: Shedeur Sanders. The Buffs QB has had an impressive start to the 2024 season, and it is rightly reflected in the team's 4-1 start. College football analysts have praised Shedeur for how effectively he has utilized his weapons and made plays when his O-line hasn't always protected him. Naturally, NFL scouts are considering him for the draft next year, and Coach Prime suggested that the Miami Dolphins should consider drafting his son. While Deion remains hopeful about Shedeur's future, critics are discussing his move and questioning if Deion is overestimating his influence and the practicality of such a move.

Jason Whitlock, an American sports columnist, shared his views on Deion's perspective: "What Deion thinks is that it would work at his best fit is actually in the NFL down in Miami, where the area where he's from, I'm sure, Warren Sapp salivating at the thought of coaching in Miami as well, and some of those other guys, and Deion and Shedeur a package for the Dolphins. That is Deion's dream and fantasy, and that's what he's thinking."

Whitlock further compared the situation to past instances where top quarterbacks, like Eli Manning and John Elway, influenced their draft positions to avoid teams they didn't want to join. "That's what he's trying to put in place. And so it wouldn't matter if the Dolphins had the top pick in the draft, because Deion would probably, you know, do what John Elway did with his dad, and, you know, I'm not playing in Baltimore, what Eli Manning did. Where did Eli didn't want to play in San Diego? Maybe I couldn't remember, yeah, and so I could see Deion trying to position himself for that play. It's very interesting. I like Shedeur in Miami. I don't think Deion is the right fit as an NFL head coach, but Deion certainly believes he's the right fit. Very fascinating."

Well, we can't really get into Coach Prime's head, and nor can Whitlock. But, it's a fascinating take that by asking Miami to draft Shedeur, senior Sanders could be looking at himself for the coaching position if there is a vacancy in the future.

For now, we know certain things. The Dolphins are 1-3, and they've not looked good since Tua Taigovailoa went down with a concussion in Miami's Week 2 defeat to the Buffalo Bills. Following that, Tua was placed on IR by the team, which means he'd unlikely to feature in Miami colors before Week 7.

According to the draft tracker websites, the Dolphins are projected to have the second pick in the 2025 NFL Draft if their fortunes do not improve. They have recently signed Tua Tagovailoa to a four-year, $212 million extension; however, everything could change for the Dolphins if the former Alabama player suffers another concussion. The rumors around Shedeur to the Dolphins will continue, but his off-field activities make it seem like he's headed to a different NFL team.

Shedeur Sanders attracts attention after meeting with Raiders owner Mark Davis On the one hand, we have Deion Sanders discussing Shedeur's potential NFL draft prospects. On the other hand, there is Shedeur himself, meeting Mark Davis, owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The two during the WNBA playoff game between the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces. Well, the meeting may have been just a regular link-up between two names of the game. However, a young college football star meeting an NFL owner? It is bound to be headline-worthy.

What makes Shedeur special? Well, he is a treat to watch. How he read plays- short passes, mid-game, long plays. Shedeur has everything to make it to the big league. So far, he has completed 1630 passing yards and scored 14 touchdowns and three interceptions, which tells a lot about him as a player and his serious attitude toward his growing career.

Although the meeting with Davis has fueled discussions about the possibility of Shedeur joining the Raiders, if we look at the Raiders this season, they have faced problems with quarterbacks, which has caused them to lose two games. After their meeting video has gone viral, reactions from fans and observers have been mixed. Some view the possibility of Sanders joining the Raiders as a positive development; on the other hand, many believe that if Sanders joins them, it may affect his football career, looking at the Raiders' recent struggles. Also, the Buffs star must consider who the Raiders have in their division: Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs. Does he really want to challenge himself in a division that Andy Reid has ruled since he got to Kansas?

For now, all eyes will be on Shedeur Sanders' performance in the upcoming game against Kansas State.
