Denver weather: Pleasant 4th of July before warm days, a few storms

DENVER (KDVR) — It was a sunny and warm day in Denver weather and along the Front Range for Independence Day.

The skies will remain mostly clear for evening fireworks and drone displays and any other celebrations.

The good news, according to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado's Most Accurate Forecast, is that Friday brings more of the same.

Weather tonight: Clear, cool and comfortable

Skies will remain mostly clear with just a few passing clouds early in the evening. It will be a little breezy with mainly northerly winds. And, it will be cool and comfortable across the eastern plains and metro Denver overnight with lows in the 50s again. It will be chilly in spots in the Colorado mountains with a mix of 30s and 40s.

Weather tomorrow: Pleasantly warm again

Friday is looking much like the holiday with sunny skies early followed by some afternoon passing clouds. It will be breezy at times with a northeasterly wind. And, temperatures will be very similar to those on Thursday with pleasantly warm 70s and 80s in most locations.

Looking ahead: Rain chances Sunday followed by hot days

Denver will head into the weekend with another sunny, warm and dry day on Saturday.

A cold front arrives on Sunday with cooler temperatures and a chance for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Rain chances dry up with only isolated showers mainly south and west of Denver early next week. And, the temperatures slowly start to warm back into the hot 90s especially by later in the week.
