Deputies: Bicyclist hit, killed near Pullman; driver arrested

LEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a driver was arrested after hitting and killing a bicyclist near Pullman.
The Allegan County Sherriff's Office said the crash happened around 10 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of 111th Avenue and 54th Street in Lee Township.
Investigators said an SUV on eastbound 111th Avenue struck a bicyclist. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office. Their name has not been released.
The driver of the SUV was arrested near the scene and taken to the Allegan County Jail, where he awaits arraignment on charges. His name was not released.
The sheriff's office said alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
