Friday Outlook: Nice stretch of weekend weather begins in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – We'll finish off the work week with partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures as high pressure builds back into the Carolinas.

This morning starts off warm with low to mid-60s locked in and patchy fog developing during our pre-dawn hours. Winds will be light out of the north-northeast as clouds mix in with sunshine through the afternoon.

Friday brings partly cloudy skies and low to mid-80s through the peak heating hours of the day. Be on the lookout for a stray isolated shower this afternoon before we dry out for the weekend.

Lows will dip into the mid-60s overnight heading into Saturday as highs rebound into the mid-80s. Sunday will continue to heat up as upper 80s finish off the weekend. We'll have well above normal temperatures on Sunday to usher in the Fall season.

Early next week will settle closer to normal with highs in the low 80s Monday through Wednesday. Rain and storm chances ramp back up by Wednesday of next week.
