Despite disappointing Game 2 loss, Mets feel like winners heading to Citi Field

— The Mets were six outs away from leaving Citizens Bank Park up 2-0 in the NL Division Series. But the Phillies stole victory from the hands of their foes, stunning them with a late-inning comeback that was followed by a walk-off hit.

New York isn't disappointed, however. In taking one of two games at Citizens Bank Park , the Mets stole home-field advantage, turning this into a best-of-three series — Wild Card Part Deux, if you will.

"I would have loved to win this game too and be in a great position to win one game and move on," Mets left fielder Brandon Nimmo said. "But also they played really well and they came up with some really big hits."

What the Mets are most looking forward to is returning home where they haven't been in two weeks and more than 3,200 miles traveled. Since then, they've been fighting for a spot in the postseason, fending off the Brewers in the Wild Card Series and then putting a good scare into South Philadelphia.

"I mean, we've been on the road for the last six months, I feel like," Mets starter Luis Severino joked. "It feels good that we've been winning games. We're going to be home and the crowd's going to be into it, and we're going to win some games."

If Citi Field's recent watch parties are a preview of what awaits the NLDS when it arrives for Game 3 on Wednesday, then the Phillies will need to be ready for a rowdy fan base.

"You want to be able to go up 2-0 at home, but being able to go 1-1 and going into New York, I imagine it's going to be pretty hostile there and a lot of fun," Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper said.
