Discover Monroe-West Monroe hosts 4th Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Discover Monroe-West Monroe is hosting its 4th Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest and everyone is invited to enter.

This year's theme is Monroe-West Monroe. Those in Ouachita Parish can decorate, carve or paint their pumpkin to show hometown pride.

Those participating will be entered in one of the following categories:

Ages 0-6

Ages 7-12

Ages 13-17

Businesses/Organizations

The community will get the chance to vote for their fan favorite! Winners will receive a DMWM prize that includes passes to local attractions. Everyone who enters will win a small prize.

To enter, bring your decorated pumpkin to the DMWM Visitor's Center anywhere from October 1 to 29. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Winners will be announced on October 31.
