DJ Turner, Denzel Perryman, Cam Hart injury update: NBC broadcast reveals terrible news on injured defenders

A Sunday Night Football game on NBC between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Chargers has turned into a bit of a war of attrition, with injuries hitting both teams hard during the course of the game.

NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark updated a few of those injuries early in the fourth quarter on the air.

"A couple of injuries to tell you about for both teams, starting with the Bengals," Stark reported. "Corner DJ Turner left the field, went in the X-ray room. He has been ruled out with a right clavicle injury."

Turner had been playing exceptionally well for the Bengals, so his loss will be a significant blow, particularly against a Chargers outfit that can sling it around.

But the Chargers were also dealing with a handful of injuries.

"As for the Chargers, rookie Cam Hart was evaluated for a head injury," Stark noted on NBC. "He's been ruled out with a concussion. Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman , he is questionable with a groin injury. And defensive tackle BJ Hill , we saw him head into the medical tent. We will keep you posted when we get word on him."

Ladd McConkey leaves game with injury, returns

Ladd McConkey was injured in a Sunday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals, taken to the injury tent immediately after a hard fall.

McConkey was hurt after he caught a 20-yard pass from quarterback Justin Herbert as he was ranging toward the sidelines.

As he crossed the sideline he was taken to the ground by Cincinnati safety Geno Stone . Ladd McConkey appeared to roll awkwardly on his collarbone and was immediately tended to on the sideline.

After a few minutes, McConkey was shown going to the locker room on the NBC broadcast. The Chargers officially announced that he was questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

McConkey would later return to the contest.
