DLUX restaurant just off the Capitol Square is closing

DLUX , the 12 year-old Food Fight restaurant at 117 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., just off the Capitol Square, is closing, according to a social media post Saturday.

"We have made the difficult decision to close DLUX and serve our final smash burger on October 30th," the post said.

The decision was prompted by the end of the restaurant's lease, which the restaurant group decided to not renew, the post said.

"It has been our pleasure to serve the Madison community since 2012, and we are extremely grateful for so much support and patronage over the years, sharing events and accomplishments, creating memories, and serving a whole lotta burgers," the post said.

Food Fight encouraged the restaurant's fans to visit before the end of the month, adding that the restaurant will remain committed to great food and service. It also warned that staffing levels may lead to adjusted hours.

"We appreciate your understanding - stay tuned to our social media or website for updates on when we're open," the post said.

Food Fight is working to place DLUX's staff among the other 16 restaurants within its network, the post said.
