Dolores Marker, age 88, died Saturday, November 9, at Brookestone Acres.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, at St. Bonaventure Church. Visitation is Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial is in All Saints Cemetery.
Dolores was born April 23, 1936, in Petersburg, Nebraska to Joseph and Tillie (Hovley) Sandman. She was united in marriage to Gerald Marker on June 28, 1955, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, Nebraska. They moved to Columbus where she worked at Becton-Dickinson for 20+ years until she retired. Dolores enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning, baking, and tending to her house plants. She also had a love for animals, especially her dogs.
Dolores is survived by: daughter, Cindy Langan of Columbus; daughter, Sue (Tom) Streeter of Albion; son, Steve (Jackie) Marker of Columbus; daughter, Michele (Warren) Voorhees of Platte Center; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers, granddaughter, Amy Langan, great-grandson, Jonathan Vetick.
