Evelyn (Fiala) Kral

Evelyn Kral (Fiala), 78, passed away on October 3, 2024, in Brush, Colo., after a quick battle with cancer. She was born on April 9, 1946, in David City, to the parents of Joseph and Rose Fiala.
Evelyn graduated from David City High School in 1964 and then went to Kearney State College. She had her first teaching jobs in York, Utica and Clarkson, before moving to Woodrow, Colo. Evelyn taught at Woodlin Schools where she met her husband, Joe, marrying on June 8, 1975. In 1991, Evelyn began instructing at Morgan Community College, retiring in 2011. Prior to retiring she moved from the farm in Woodrow to Brush.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Kral Jr; brothers, Joe Fiala and Marvin Fiala; step brothers, Edmund Fiala, Leonard Fiala, Richard (Skip) Fiala and Ed Reha.
She is survived by her children: son, Joe Kral III (Jennifer; grandchildren, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Madison); daughter, Colleen Cook (Steve; grandchildren, Carsyn, Savanna); sisters, Eldeen Kabourek (John) and Mary Ann Birkel (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.
