Domestic violence suspect captured after manhunt in Port St. Lucie

A domestic violence suspect was taken into custody after a manhunt in Port St. Lucie on Friday morning.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said officers responded to afelony domestic violence incident at the Village at Tradition Apartments at 11800 SW Village Parkway.

At the scene, police said the suspect had already fled the scene. Sometime later, police said the suspect was believed to have been sighted near SE Westmoreland and SE Morningside boulevards, about 10 miles from the initial call.

Police said there was no threat to the community as this was an isolated domestic violence incident.
