This is the third Berks County appearance by a member of a major-party ticket during this election cycle. Trump's running mate Sen. JD Vance spoke at the Berks County Fairgrounds in Bern Township on Sept. 21, and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz appeared at a Reading restaurant Wednesday.

Trump held a rally at Reading Regional Airport during his 2020 presidential campaign.

The presidential and vice presidential candidates and high-profile supporters have been crisscrossing Pennsylvania throughout the campaign, with the Keystone State being one of the most hotly contested spots in the country amid polls showing an extremely close race.

Trump's visit to Reading on Wednesday will come just days after he returned to the site in Butler, western Pennsylvania, where he was nearly assassinated in July for a rally on Saturday.
