Here's what Coconut Creek PD shared with BocaNewsNow.com :

"A Deerfield Beach man's arrest for a DUI crash that injured a mother, and her two children, is the basis of this Coconut Creek Police Department Arrest Alert. Officers charged Angelo Carrubba, age 35, of Deerfield Beach, with DUI, DUI property damage, and drunk driving that caused a crash with injuries after a two-car crash Wednesday night (September 18) at the intersection of Lyons Road and West Hillsboro Boulevard. The mother and her children, in the car he hit, were treated and released from a local hospital. Carrubba went to the Broward County Jail."

Carrubba, according to an arrest report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, lives in the 3900 block of NW 1st Place in Deerfield Beach. He was allegedly driving a white Lincoln Navigator at the time of the crash. Police say they "smelled a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from (Carrubba)" when the questioned him about the crash. Carrubba, according to police, refused a breath test.
