Duke vs. Virginia Tech odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
Virginia Tech are set to meet in a contest between ACC programs that have had inconsistent seasons so far in 2024.
While the Hokies have lost two straight entering Saturday's contest, the Blue Devils finally got back on the winning track this week with a win at NC State. That gives Duke a little bit of mojo heading into the ACC showdown.
According to early lines from FanDuel, Virginia Tech (5-5, 3-3 ACC) will open as a 1.5-point road favorite over Duke (7-3, 3-3) in the contest. The over/under points total for the game has been set at 46.5 points.
That sets the expectation going into the game: Las Vegas thinks it'll be a close contest, one for the taking for either team. So it should be an entertaining game.

Virginia Tech comes into the game with at least some mild question marks at quarterback. Backup Collin Schlee has played well enough in place of Kyron Drones when called on, and Drones was benched at the end of the team's loss to on Saturday.
Regardless, both can play and both will have to be planned for.
Drones has thrown for 1,562 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, against six interceptions. He has also run for 336 yards and six touchdowns, a true dual-threat prospect.
Schlee can also run, with 106 yards rushing and a touchdown, to go along with 279 yards passing and two touchdowns. How Virginia Tech splits reps could be key in this one.
Duke, on the other hand, has been all Maalik Murphy all year. The former quarterback has been quite good, throwing for 2,366 yards and 22 touchdowns, against eight interceptions.
Given the production of running back Star Thomas (742 yards and five touchdowns), Duke has been able to stay reasonably balanced offensively.
This should be a competitive matchup, one that will help swing momentum for the winner after some recent losses.
