Eagles at Chiefs: How to watch, TV schedule, start time, more

L.Hernandez3 months ago
The Philadelphia Eagles will visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl , which the Chiefs won 38-35.

Both teams are currently the No. 1 seed in their conference, just as they were last year. Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts are also both MVP candidates once again.

Hurts put on an offensive performance for the ages in the Super Bowl, with more than 300 passing yards and three rushing touchdowns. It might be difficult for him to repeat that stat line. The Chiefs’ defense is allowing 15.9 points per game and has 31 sacks, both of which rank second in the league.

The Chiefs’ offense has been slightly less effective than in years past, averaging 23.1 points per game to Philadelphia’s 28.0 points per game. Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown already has 1,000 yards this year and has topped 100 receiving yards in six of his last seven games. The Eagles also rank eighth in the NFL with 129.7 rushing yards per game.

The Chiefs appear to be running away with the AFC West, though the recently resurgent Denver Broncos could end up giving them trouble. If they lose, the Baltimore Ravens would overtake them for first place in the conference standings. The Eagles would be only one game ahead of the Dallas Cowboys if they lose on Monday, but a win would help put them in position to win the division.

Andy Reid, who was the Eagles’ head coach for 14 years, is 3-0 against his former team. The Chiefs and Eagles have the two best records in the NFL since 2021, when Nick Sirianni took over in Philadelphia.

Use this as your open thread to discuss what is sure to be a barnstormer of a game.
