Eagles injury report: Three players who missed Wednesday’s practice are back; Star WR on track to play

Z.Baker33 min ago
PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles placed a lot of their players on Wednesday's injury report . Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), edge rusher Nolan Smith (groin) and linebacker Ben VanSumeren didn't practice and 11 players were limited participants.

Philadelphia's injury report on Thursday won't have as many names listed.

DeVonta Smith, Nolan Smith and VanSumeren participated in warm ups and individual drills. Offensive tackle Fred Johnson , offensive guard Mekhi Becton , center Cam Jurgens (groin) and wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) — who were limited participants during Wednesday's practice — each suited up for Thursday's practice, too.

Nobody from the Eagles' 53-man roster appeared to be sidelined with an injury.

Brown, who suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of the Eagles' 28-23 win over the Jaguars last Sunday, was given a day-to-day recovery timeline. During Brown's three-week (Week 2- 4) absence with a hamstring injury, the Eagles' passing offense was not effective.

He is on track to play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.

Smith, who caught a one-handed touchdown against the Jaguars, would be the No. 1 wide receiver without Brown. Tight end Dallas Goedert , who missed three weeks with a hamstring injury, has practiced the last two days and should play against Dallas.

Edge rusher Bryce Huff (wrist), running back Saquon Barkley (rest), quarterback Jalen Hurts (rest), cornerback Darius Slay (groin), wide receiver Ainias Smith, edge rusher Josh Sweat (hip) and linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (hip) - who were limited participants yesterday, too — each participated in individual drills as well.
