East Peoria VFW post 2078 holds 93rd annual Veterans Day Parade

EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — East Peoria residents braved the rain and cold to support veterans. East Peoria VFW Post 2078 hosted it's 93rd annual Veterans Day parade Saturday Afternoon.
The parade started at West Washington Street in East Peoria and ended at Fon Du Lac Library.
This year they added an air show to fly over the parade route.

Senior Vice Commander of VFW post 2078 Bryon Hasty said It's amazing to see people come out to support veterans, even in the rain.
"It means that everybody thinks about us and they actually thank us for doing this. And it's a lot of fun," said Hasty.
He said it's one of the longest-running Veterans Day parades in Illinois.
