CLEVELAND, Ohio – Are you feeling this year's spooky season? Here at cleveland.com, the excitement is mounting and we thought, "What better way to get folks excited for Halloween than with pictures of adorable animals in their costumes!"

Admit it, you have a cute outfit for your dog or cat... or perhaps have thought about getting one for them. Well, it just so happens that cleveland.com is holding a photo contest to determine the Best Pet Halloween Costume.

How can you get your pet entered you ask? It's easy, nothing ruff about it.

Simply email us a photo (details below) by Sept. 30. We want to see all of your pets dressed-up: They can be dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles - you name it! If they're sporting Halloween spirit, we want to see it!

Maybe you haven't decided on a costume this year? No worries, dig through your phone and pull up last year's costume wearing pet and send it our way.

It doesn't matter if the costume was bought, made or borrowed. As long as it is your pet, it counts and want you to share it with us.

How to enter the Best Pet Halloween Costume photo contest:
  • Email a photo of your pet dressed in their Halloween costume to . The deadline is Monday, Sept. 30 at 5:00 p.m. The contest is open to pets from the seven-county coverage area of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit.
  • Past years' photos are OK. But we are cutting it off at 100 pets to include in the contest. Remember, we only want one photo per pet so choose carefully!
