A rematch of the 2023 NFC Championship is slated for this weekend. And as Sunday’s matchup between the Eagles and 49ers approaches, some offseason trash talk has resurfaced. Samuel, 27, made the comment about Bradberry on the “I Am Athlete” podcast in February after Philadelphia beat San Francisco in the NFC Championship. Days later, Bradberry was called for a holding penalty in the Super Bowl LVII loss to Kansas City that set up Chiefs’ Harrison Butker to kick the game-winning field goal. Samuel doubled-down on his comment on social media. “Believe me now,” he wrote on X with two laughing emojis and one zipped lips emoji. “I don’t have any feelings right now, just see how it goes,” Samuel said about the upcoming matchup, via NBC Sports. “It’s not about revenge. It’s another game on the schedule and we’re going to treat it like any other game.” In May , Samuels maintained that the 49ers were the better team despite losing the NFC Championship, during which quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson both sustained game-ending injuries. “We lost because we played with 10 people,” Samuel told Complex.com . “I ain’t going to keep going on about what could’ve happened and what would’ve happened but yeah, it would’ve definitely been a different outcome.” Samuel also said in that interview that the Eagles are his “most hated team.” The rematch is set for Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field
