Philadelphia Eagles’ Hasson Reddick tells ‘crying’ San Francisco 49ers to prove they’re the better team

Philadelphia Eagles’ linebacker Hasson Reddick is tired of hearing excuses from the San Francisco 49ers.

The Eagles (10-1) and 49ers (8-3) will face off on Sunday in a showdown of the NFC’s two best teams. The game is a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship, which the Eagles won 31-7. However, the 49ers say the outcome would’ve been different if quarterback Brock Purdy didn’t suffer an elbow injury early in the first quarter.

Reddick and the Eagles heard all of the 49ers’ “what if’s” throughout the offseason. Now with the rematch next on the schedule, Reddick said enough of the talk and it’s time for the “crying” 49ers to put up or shut up.

“Talk is cheap,” Reddick told radio station KYW-FM after the Eagles’ win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. “They get to come back in the Linc. It was a lot of boo hoos last year, a lot of crying , a lot of what if, a lot of this, a lot of that.

“They get a chance to come back in here, line that (stuff) up and prove it again.”

The Eagles, winners of five consecutive games, are coming off a dramatic overtime win against the Bills. They have defeated the Bills, Kansas City and the Dallas Cowboys in the past three games. The 49ers have won three straight games and appear to be back on track after a three-game losing streak.

The 49ers have the opportunity to prove that, when healthy, they are the better team.
