49ers vs. Seahawks 3rd quarter thread: It feels like there have been as many penalties as points

The 49ers took over half the quarter on the drive and hadn't made it to the red zone yet. At the two-minute warning, the Niners had a 9-play drive that lasted nearly seven minutes despite only gaining 39 total yards. The plan felt purposeful and helped keep Seattle's offense off the field. Unfortunately, the Niners would lose yards. A Colton McKivitz false start was followed by a Colton McKivitz sack. That took the offense out of field goal range. Purdy missed McCaffrey open in the flat, and that made it 2nd & 23. His next pass was tipped. The ensuing pass was broken up by a Seahawks defender. So, a 1st & 10 from Seattle's 34 resulted in no points for the offense in a drive where they took seven minutes off the clock. There were more penalties in the first half (8) than points scored by either team.
