thel S. Angeli, 84, of Plains Township, died Wednesday at Little Flower
Manor, Wilkes-Barre, where she was admitted Tuesday. She was previously a
patient at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.



Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Rachel
(Willis) Summerson. She was a 1935 Plains Memorial High School graduate. She
was a sales clerk at the former Lazarus Department Store, Wilkes-Barre, for
more than 30 years, retiring in 1980 when the store closed. She was a member
of Plains United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond.

Surviving are her son, Armand E., Plains Township; daughter, Barbara J.
Boyle, Kidder Township; one niece; and one nephew.



The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the H. Merritt Hughes Funeral
Home Inc., 451 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. Craig C. Gommer will
officiate. Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville,
Kingston Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Plains United Methodist
Church, 133 N. Main St., Plains, 18705.
