Events bringing together community, police set in Bismarck
Two "Faith and Blue" events aiming to bring together community members and law enforcement have been set for the second weekend of October in Bismarck.
A pregame tailgate party is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday until the start of the game at the Dan Smrekar Field adjacent to St. Mary's Central High School in north Bismarck, according to the Crisis Care Chaplaincy, a sponsor of the event. There will be food, police cars and law enforcement members with whom attendees can visit.
Three church events are set for Sunday at Heritage Church, New Song Church and Capital Christian Center, all in Bismarck.
Faith and Blue, a global event celebrated the second week of October, launched in 2020 to allow communities and law enforcement to build connections through faith-based organizations.
