Exposed - dating app predator Anton Smolin's secret criminal history

A sexual predator who tried to deny he had viciously abused women he met on dating apps was recently convicted of using a mobile phone to menace, harass or offend.

Electrical engineer and self-declared psychopath Anton Smolin committed the offence at Sutherland in Sydney 's south in February last year and was found guilty in January.

Smolin sought to have the matter annulled at Downing Centre Local Court in March but - after abandoning that application - was convicted and put on a $500 two-year good behaviour bond.

Daily Mail Australia can now also reveal how a disturbing 'seduction' guidebook written by Smolin catalogued his sexual encounters with women across Eastern Europe.

Smolin's history of sending vicious messages to women he met on dating apps , calling them 'fat pigs' and 'b***ches', was exposed by Daily Mail Australia late last year.

The 43-year-old then sued this publication for defamation in the NSW District Court but accepted his claim was hopeless when he learned that a book he published - titled the Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath - would form part of the defence.

Smolin had fought to keep secret his identity as the author of the book - which he sold through Amazon and was reviewed on Goodreads - a secret.

On Thursday, Judge Judith Gibson found in favour of Daily Mail Australia in the defamation action and ordered Smolin to pay costs estimated to have reached six figures.

Despite Smolin's total capitulation and that judgment against him, the misogynist is still fighting to stop further publication of the full contents of his book.

Smolin has continued to deny having written Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath even though his name, photograph and mobile phone number appear in publicity for the work.

A summary of Smolin's sordid exploits in Australia and overseas is still being promoted online as including an orgy with a 'toothless grandma' and the 'gang bang of a blindfolded and tied-up girl'.

Smolin calls himself a psychopath 'with almost no empathy or moral and ethical standards of any kind' and admits to keeping an Excel spreadsheet of his 'sexual conquests'.

Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath features material so disturbing a copy will now be given to police to investigate whether it contains admissions of Smolin committing serious indictable offences.

A promotion on the Goodreads website, apparently written by Smolin, says the book features 'hilarious, bizarre and interesting seduction stories that took place in Australia and overseas'.

'The stories are all true and the events described all took place in real life,' Smolin states.

'They are portrayed through the eyes of a psychopath with almost no empathy or moral and ethical standards of any kind.

'I live in a different world; what may seem bizarre and disturbing in your world may be a normal every day event in my world.

'Unlike fiction writers, I did not make up stuff in order to shock people; I just wrote it how it was in real life.'

A press release which features Smolin's name and phone number says the book, published in 2014, faithfully records his 'extensive travels' through Eastern Europe.

'He writes about his steamy relationship with the girls he met including drunken hook-ups with multiple girls, prostitutes that agreed to sex without charge, night-time skinny dippy, and nude beach dates,' the press release states.

The press release then provides summaries of some of Smolin's sexual encounters in Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Estonia, Ukraine and Russia.

'While in Lithuania, Smolin got very intimate with an absolutely stunning "9/10" target he just met at an empty VIP nightclub,' it states.

'He describes in detail, step-by-step, how the seduction progressed (throughout the evening) from "Hello" to her putting her hand inside his pants in the public venue.

'In the Russian Federation, Anton invited two attractive young girls back to the place where he was staying and had sex with one while the other was lying next to them and watching (in the same room).

'A tall, gorgeous large-breasted redhead in a Belarus nightclub suggested they 'go home' together after only a few hours passed since them met.

'"She wasn't a prostitute, rather this was a perfect example of effective speed seduction techniques," Smolin commented.'

Smolin further describes episodes of drunken and public sex.

'A girl in Latvia who straight after meeting for the first time (in the morning) suggested going back to his place to get drunk,' the press release states.

'Soon after entering Anton's apartment she took off her panties, washed them in the bathroom and hung them up near the open window. They then proceed to drink three champagne bottles together.

'A 19-year-old girl who Anton was seeing while in the Ukraine had sexual intercourse with him at a public lake beach in the water while there were people swimming and sunbathing right next to them.

'Smolin recruited a private tour guide (a young local girl) to show him around the tourist attractions of Latvia.

'He ended up copulating with her on top of a 13th century castle tower. "Public sex is immaculate," Smolin stated.'

Smolin boasts in the press release of having 'bedded' 106 women - 'not including hookers and miscellaneous girls at sex parties' - with more than 70 of those encounters occurring in the previous five years.

'I now live in a world of multiple girlfriends, threesomes, group sex and international pimping,' Smolin he says.

'I keep a detailed register of all my sexual conquests in a sophisticated Excel spreadsheet that I use to plot complex charts and conduct strategic data analysis.'

An entry for Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath on the Goodreads website written by Smolin refers to sex acts too graphic to publish.

'Some of the content is explicit, and some is very explicit,' he states.

'If you would be uncomfortable reading about... a four-on-one gang bang of a blindfolded and tied-up girl, or a 20+ person orgy involving a toothless grandma and a mentally retarded person, then read no further'.

Daily Mail Australia first exposed Smolin's serial abuse of women he met on dating apps in a story published last November when he was an associate director of a Sydney engineering firm.

Four women had come forward to describe their dealings with Smolin and his habit of erupting in blind fury when they cancelled or changed dating arrangements.

Smolin told one woman who decided against meeting up, 'Just f**k off, you stupid fat pig', and told another who declined a second date, 'You're such a stupid, lying b***h'.

Smolin denied those exchanges took place and sued Daily Mail Australia for defamation, claiming the destroyed his reputation and wrongly portrayed him as a psychopath, sexual predator and misogynist.

While preparing to defend Smolin's defamation action, lawyers acting for this publication obtained an electronic copy of his book.

Upon reading the 305-page Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath, those solicitors from Mark O'Brien Legal determined they had a statutory obligation under the Crimes Act to forward it to police.

The book was obtained through a subpoena issued to Smolin's then employer, Erbas & Associates engineering consultants, which stood him down after seeing the story about how he treated women.

Daily Mail Australia's lawyers filed evidence which showed that before Smolin parted ways with his employer he asked the company to wipe his work computer hard drive, which it did.

Before clearing the hard drive Erbas had made a copy of all Smolin's stored documents and among that material was Seduction Chronicles of a Psychopath.
