Facing "Reputation" Crisis Over Ben Simmons, NBA Trainer Makes Another Bold Prediction for 36YO Heat Star

Because Simmons' health has become somewhat of a mystery in recent years. Sure enough, the trainer received significant backlash for his claim as former NBA star Jeff Teague even questioned his credibility, "Brickley just ruined his reputation with that take right there." But despite the criticism, Brickley is back with another bold claim. And this time, it's about Miami Heat veteran Kevin Love!

In his latest Instagram story, Brickley shared the video of a workout session with the former Champion where the 36-year-old can be seen easily draining one-dribble pull ups from the three-point line. "Kevin Love is season ready!" the trainer captioned the video. About to enter the seventeenth year of his career, Love is no longer in his prime and spends most of his time coming off the bench. However, Brickley's post shows that he has a lot left in the tank.

Just last season, Kevin averaged 8.8 points along with over six rebounds. But his three-point shooting percentage took a significant hit as he shot only 34.4% from beyond the arc. Surely, training with Brickley could improve his efficiency and make him a lethal three and D guy even at this stage of his career. Moreover, Love recently signed a two-year $8 million deal to stay in Miami which proves that the franchise still has faith in the former champion to deliver at the biggest stage. And if he is able to do so, it will also restore Brickley's reputation which took a hit with the Simmons' claim.

Chris Brickley stood by his Ben Simmons' claim despite criticism from Jeff Teague "I hope he (Simmons) is back, but I wouldn't put myself out on a limb and say that after." Well, you can't really blame Teague for doubting Brickley's claim because Simmons has barely made it to the court in the last three seasons. Dealing with nerve impingements in his back, he could only play fifteen games last season. And even in those games, he had an underwhelming showing averaging mere 6.1 points.

However, the trainer has complete faith in his assessment and believes that Simmons is ready to shock the world this season, "Thanks bro but Ben is healthy, moving very well, he is better now than his All-Star seasons. I've never co-signed a player that didn't prove it when their season started. Trust me on this one." If Brickley's claim is correct, fans would love to see the older version of Simmons who was even deemed the next LeBron James during his time in Philly.
