Falcons credentialed Kirk Herbstreit’s dog Ben for Buccaneers vs. Falcons and it’s adorable

I have two fun facts about Kirk Herbstreit for you. The first is that I had better seats than he did (second row center compared to fifth row end seat) for Boyz II Men's residency in Las Vegas, which was very fun for me. The second is about Herbstreit's dog, Ben, who travels with him around the country to his various college and pro football broadcasting gigs.

Teams been flexible with allowing Ben to stay with his dad during games, so we've been blessed with plenty of in-booth shots of Ben just generally being adorable and well behaved and an extremely good boy. Back to the fun fact: Today we learned that teams have been credentialing Ben for his visits, and while I haven't seen all of the credentials, I've got to assume the one the Falcons issued for Ben's trip to Bucs vs. Falcons on Thursday Night Football is one of, if not the, best.

The Dolphins referred to Ben as the Chief Happiness Officer of Football and that is both very cute and not at all wrong. But the Falcons went all out — from Barkcast instead of Broadcast and giving Ben the title of Wide Retriever, everything about this is super fun.

The only thing I don't like is the icon banning Ben from sitting on the furniture. Let that good boy sit wherever he wants.

By the way, if you clicked on this because you love dogs, you might want to check out Fox 5's Kelly Price's coverage of Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier's free pet vaccination clinic last Tuesday.

We definitely do everything for our little furry friends — including making them game credentials, apparently.
